I dosed off by the fire
Too much Lagavulin
I'd slowly started to tire
Resorting instead to drooling

I opened my mind's eye
And found myself in Woolworths
It was shortly going to die
And so spoke its final words

"I've got little left for you
Unless you'd care for a shelf
But HMV has a queue
So it must have something to sell"

HMV was confusing
The same song three times
I was in the middle of choosing
When I awoke and opened my eyes

I'd slept all night to Christmas
A single present to be opened
As I unwrapped I was surprised to witness
It was a shelf from Leanard Cohen.

So original! I love it!
