Together - A Christmas Poem

Together we struggled on a train
Wrapped up in years of references and inferences
Met high pitched excitement

We ate ham well seasoned with familial friendship
Together with a pudding of homemade love
We drank away misunderstood sadness

Christmas spent together
And also apart, from others.
